Youth Programs

Dande Jr.'s is our youngest youth group. It includes 3rd through 6th graders. We meet every other Sunday from 5pm to 6:30pm. Our main emphasis is on having fun! We have a short, meaningful lesson and an activity or craft each time. Some other activities include lock ins, trips to Great America, Swimming and Christmas Caroling for church members that are shuts or in nursing homes. Dande Jr.'s main fund raiser is collecting aluminum cans in the North parking lot the last weekend of each month. For more information contact Tammy Gutting at 1-309-762-875.

Chi-Rho is the junior high youth group of 1st Christian Church Moline, Illinois. It has recently been restarted and has an active membership of 10 youth and 2 sponsors.

The youth decided on a theme for the year which is Service to God and their community. In living their theme they have done service projects within the church as well as in the community. We are always looking for other service projects and would welcome new members. So come join us, we would love to have you!

C.Y.F. Christian Youth Fellowship

Christian Youth Fellowship (C.Y.F.) is a group of individuals from 9th to 12th grade. Currently we have about ten active members.

The group meets weekly at our Church, at 9:30 am Sundays for church school. We also meet every other week socially, on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm. Activities include movies, lock-ins, bowling, haunted houses, a yearly Super-Bowl party, and more. Every year in the summer we take a trip. In the past we have visited Six Flags St. Louis, and Six Flags Chicago. For these trips we raise money by recycling newspapers monthly, holding a car wash, sponsoring a night at the ball game, etc. Our focus in our fundraisers are to involve other church members, the community and local businesses.

Every Thanksgiving time we walk door-to-door in the Church neighborhood in search or canned goods for the holiday food drives. We have also had presentations to our class from organizations such as Crisis Pregnancy Center, Catholic Social Services, and others.
